Telemis presents DRIMbox: A key innovation for France's Ségur du Numérique en Santé digital health programme
As part of the Ségur du Numérique en Santé (Digital Health Programme), Telemis has developed the DRIMbox, an essential tool for improving the sharing of medical imaging data between healthcare professionals and patients. This device, in line with the national ambition to streamline and secure the exchange of health information, is crucial for the success of Mon espace santé (My Health Space), which has been accessible to all French citizens since 2022.
A Decisive Step Towards Modernising Digital Health
The Ségur du Numérique en Santé aims to optimise the circulation of medical data by encouraging the use of the DMP (Dossier Médical Partagé - Shared Medical Record) and Mon Espace Santé. This national project is part of a global effort to modernise the healthcare system in France, ensuring fluid and secure communication of medical information between the various stakeholders in the sector.
The first phase of the Ségur du Numérique en Santé was dedicated to the integration of RIS (Radiology Information Systems) into healthcare establishments.
The second wave of the Ségur du Numérique en Santé, currently underway, focuses on the DRIM-M project, particularly through PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System). PACS is the software that allows for the archiving, interpreting, and distribution of imaging examinations within a practice, healthcare establishment, and even to the patient.
DRIM-M Project: The Solution for Seamless Imaging Sharing for All
The DRIMbox is the module dedicated to the DRIM-M project (Data Radiologie, Imagerie Médicale et Médecine nucléaire - Radiology Data, Medical Imaging, and Nuclear Medicine). It is an innovative solution that enables radiology establishments and practices to share imaging data efficiently and securely. Imaging examinations remain stored locally on each site but are referenced in the DMP. This means that images are not unnecessarily duplicated, which reduces storage needs and keeps data secure on their original site.
Patients and healthcare professionals can consult the list of imaging examinations performed for a patient via the DRIMbox connected to the DMP.
This functionality guarantees quick and easy access to the images required for examinations, while ensuring that the data is up-to-date and available to all healthcare professionals, regardless of their location. The DRIMbox therefore improves care coordination and contributes to more efficient patient management.
Telemis Offers You Excellence
As a major player in medical imaging in France, Telemis has been involved in the Ségur du Numérique en Santé project from the very beginning. This early commitment demonstrates the company's desire to play a key role in the digital transformation of the health sector. It offers a native DRIMbox to PACS, a Ségur-certified solution currently undergoing certification, designed to be used exclusively by its PACS clients. This exclusivity ensures that users benefit from a seamless and harmonious integration of the DRIMbox into their daily working environment.
By choosing to develop a native DRIMbox, Telemis ensures optimal compatibility with its PACS, thus providing a fluid user experience. This native solution is designed to integrate perfectly into the existing workflows of radiologists and clinicians, thereby facilitating the adoption and use of the DRIMbox.
The decision to limit the use of the native DRIMbox to clients reflects a quality-focused strategy. By concentrating on its own users, the company can provide dedicated support and regular updates, thus ensuring a consistently high level of service. This approach also helps to avoid the compromises often associated with public funding, which can sometimes impose conflicting constraints or priorities.
By maintaining this independence, Telemis ensures that its solutions remain at the cutting edge of technology and meet the specific needs of its users. This focus on quality and innovation positions the company as a trusted partner for healthcare professionals, thereby contributing to the continuous improvement of care through the optimised use of health information and communication technologies.
Telemis Prerequisites
Our version guarantees the compatibility and adequate integration of the DRIMbox with existing systems.
It is necessary for the establishment to possess a qualified INS (Identifiant National de Santé - National Health Identifier) to ensure correct patient identification. The implementation of a reverse proxy is also required to facilitate secure data exchange.
Finally, a Pro Santé Connect connection via a certified proxy is essential for doctors, allowing healthcare professionals to connect to the Shared Medical Record (DMP) and access the information necessary for their clinical practices.
These prerequisites ensure that the native DRIMbox operates optimally, thus offering fluid and effective integration into the working environment of healthcare establishments.
Guaranteed Interoperability for Optimal Communication
The Telemis native DRIMbox is designed to be compatible with all other certified DRIMboxes, thus facilitating seamless and harmonious communication between different healthcare establishments. This means that even if sites use DRIMboxes from other certified suppliers, they can exchange imaging data transparently and securely.
Furthermore, Telemis users benefit from the full range of advanced features offered by the native DRIMbox at no extra cost. This allows establishments to take full advantage of the DRIMbox's capabilities while optimising the costs associated with managing imaging data.
State-Facilitated Support
The State will finance the DRIMbox licences as well as their maintenance for a period of three years, thus supporting establishments in adopting this technology. Deployments of the DRIMboxes at client sites are planned mainly for 2026 and 2027. Establishments interested in this offer must express their interest as soon as possible to take advantage of this support. This not only guarantees their place in the deployment schedule but also allows them to fully benefit from the financial support offered by the State for the integration of the DRIMbox into their systems.
The Telemis DRIMbox represents a significant advance for the Ségur du Numérique en Santé, facilitating the sharing of medical images and improving care coordination. The company, true to its values of quality and innovation, is committed to supporting its clients in this digital transition.
